Driving Directions:
The airport is within easy reach of Pisa, Genoa, Leghorn and Florence on the A12 motorway (Pisa–Genoa), the A11 motorway (Pisa – Florence) or the Superstrada Livorno–Pisa–Firenze (Leghorn–Pisa–Florence).

Car Parking:
There are both short-term and long-term car parks at the airport, with space for 1200 vehicles. Short-term parking, for up to one hour, is available outside the Departures area. Long-term parking is available in the multi-storey car park next to the terminal on the Departures side. Passengers using this car park should take a ticket upon entry and keep it until they return. Payment for long-term parking can be made at the Cassa Parcheggi ticket booth outside the Departures side of the terminal (open 0800-2400) or at one of the automatic ticket machines which give change if necessary.

Transport:
The railway station is next to the terminal and can be accessed via a covered walkway. Services run to Lucca via Pisa Centrale. There are also trains to Florence (Firenze SMN) via Pisa Centrale, Pontedera and Empoli; a service also operates to Florence via Montecatini and Pistoia. Road: Taxi: CO.TA.PI (Pisa taxi cooperative) and Radio Taxi (tel: (0)50 541 600) run a 24-hour taxi service from the airport. CO.TA.PI also offers a collective taxi, which runs to the Pisa Centrale railway station and Ospedale Santa Chiara (for the leaning tower of Pisa), for a flat rate fare. Bus: Bus no.3 makes several stops in the city centre. The service leaves from just outside the Arrivals hall and from the Cassa Parcheggi outside the Departures hall; it can be recognised by a green canopy bearing the words ‘City Bus’.

Facilities:
There is a bank with an ATM and currency exchange machine and a post office. Eating and drinking: There is a bar on the ground floor. On the first floor, there are two restaurants, one of which is self-service. Shopping: The shopping area, La Corte, can be accessed from both floors. There is a tax-free shop in Departures and a tax-refund facility is available. Luggage: A left-luggage service is available at the information office. A porter service is available. Other facilities: These include a first aid station and an Air Health Office, with a surgery with vaccinations available. There is also a children’s play area.

Business:
The Galilei Business Centre (tel: (0)50 849 200; e-mail: bastari@pisa-airport.com) has one meeting room which can hold up to 50 people and two smaller rooms which can accommodate up to 10 people. The Etruria Hall has audiovisual equipment, including an overhead projector, microphone, slide projector and screen. There is also a VIP lounge.

The nearest hotels are the Hotel Cavalieri (tel: (0)50 43 290) and Hotel D'Azeglio (tel: (0)50 500 310); they are situated in the centre of Pisa, 1.5km (1 mile) from the airport.

Disabled:
The airport is equipped with disabled toilets and lifts; there are ramps inside and outside the terminal. TDDs are provided for the hearing impaired. Reserved parking is available in the short-term and multi-storey car parks. Disabled travellers should inform their airline of any special assistance required prior to travel.
