Driving Directions:
The airport is located at the junction of the M3 and the M27 motorways, less than a mile from Junction 5 of the M27. The M3 is 1.5km (1 mile) away from the airport, providing fast routes to Basingstoke and London, and via the A33/A34 to Oxford and the Midlands. The airport is 32 km (20 miles) from Portsmouth and 14 km (9 miles) from Winchester.
Car Parking:
The short-term car park is located adjacent to the Terminal and is available for stays of up to one day. Long-term parking, charged at a fixed daily rate, is located north of the Terminal and is divided into three zones. Frequent shuttle buses connect to the terminal building free of charge (journey time: 15 minutes). Dedicated spaces exist in the short-term car park for motorbikes and bicycles; these vehicles are only charged at 50 per cent of the normal parking charge.

Road: Taxi: Airport Carz is located on the main concourse opposite the Arrivals hall; to book in advance (tel: (0)23 8062 7100). Bus: Bus no. 101 is a regular bus service between the airport, Southampton University and the city centre, with up to two services an hour during university term time. Contact First Southampton (tel: (0)23 8022 4854) for further information. Solent Blue Line (tel: (0)23 8061 8233) also operates a number of services from Southampton Airport (Parkway) Station. Coach: The National Express terminal is located in Southampton city centre on Western Esplanade (tel: (0)8705 80 80 80). Rail: The airport is adjacent to Southampton Airport (Parkway) Station and boasts the shortest ‘plane to train’ connection of any European airport. The airport terminal building is a short walk from Southampton Airport (Parkway) Station, where up to three trains depart every hour for London Waterloo and fast links exist to many InterCity destinations; for national rail enquiries (tel: (0)8457 48 49 50) or for South West Trains
Facilities:
Money and communications: A Travelex bureau de change is located on the main landside concourse before security. In addition to providing currency exchange, the bureau also cashes sterling cheques accompanied by a cheque guarantee card free of charge. ATMs are located next to Travelex on the main concourse and a post box is located immediately outside the terminal; stamps are available from newsagents. Eating: Restaurants and bars are situated throughout the terminal building. Shopping: Shops selling books, newspapers, magazines, snacks and games, wines, spirits, tobacco, perfumes, skincare and cosmetic products, sweets, photographic and electrical goods, fashion and accessories are available at the airport; a range of tax and duty free goods are also available to all passengers after passport control. Other facilities: A baby care room is situated on the main concourse; a private feeding cubicle and bottle warmer facility are available. A first aid room with an adjacent accessible toilet is situated by the Arrivals exit on the main concourse. Travellers feeling unwell should contact the airport information desk which will arrange for a qualified first-aider to attend; alternatively contact any member of staff to summon assistance. A viewing gallery is located at the end of the passenger concourse, free to all visitors and passengers; a lift to the gallery is available for people requiring assistance. Lost property: For items lost whilst at the airport, travellers should go to the information desk in the terminal building. Business:

Disabled:
Disabled Facilities: Southampton Airport is located on one level making access easy for all passengers. However, if disabled travellers wish to visit the conference centre, the viewing gallery or any of the airport offices the information desk will be happy to assist. Facilities for the hard of hearing: where there are signs showing the "sympathetic ear" symbol, induction loops are available to amplify announcements or conversations for passengers wearing hearing aids who switch to "T". Induction loops are found in various locations around the terminal, including the reserved seating area for special needs passengers and at the information desk. Payphones and credit card telephones are available in all parts of the airport and are adapted for hearing aids. There are also text pay phones in the main concourse and the departures lounge. Facilities for the blind and partially sighted: guide and hearing dogs are the only dogs allowed in the terminal building, except for those animals travelling on flights. Toilets: unisex accessible toilets are provided on the main concourse and within the Departures lounge. Reserved seating areas available for special needs passengers, identified by the use of special needs pictograms, are located on the main concourse and in the departures lounge. The area provides the following features: induction loop, arms on both sides of seats and space for wheelchair users.
