The airport is located on I-5, 19km (12 miles) north of Sacramento. Driving west to the airport on I-80 (from the foothills or the Sierra Nevada area), or on I-50, follow signs to I-5 North and take the Sacramento International Airport exit. Driving east to the airport on I-80 (from Oakland, San Fransisco and the Bay Area), follow signs to I-5 North and take the Sacramento International Airport exit. Daily and remote car parks are connected to the terminals by a free shuttle bus service which runs every six minutes. Metered spaces are located along the terminal roadway, whilst the terminal curbs are for passenger pick-up and drop-off only. Express parking is available in the hourly car park adjacent to Terminal C on Airport Boulevard. Shuttles to car parks are wheelchair-accessible and operate every 10 minutes 24 hours a day.
