The airport can be reached from the I-405 freeway, MacArthur Boulevard exit, or from State Route 55 (southbound) which has a dedicated exit.

Car parks A1, A2, B1 and B2 (tel: 949 252 5200) are located both next to and opposite the terminal. Curbside valet parking is available on the upper level roadway. Car parking is also available at the Airport Main Street car park (located between Red Hill Avenue and MacArthur Boulevard); courtesy shuttles transport passengers to/from the Main Street car park every 15 minutes. All car parks accept cash, cheque or credit cards and are open 0530-2330 daily.

Transport:
All services are located in the ground transportation centre, which is located on the lower level, directly in front of the terminal. Taxi: John Wayne Airport Yellow Cab Service (tel: 800 535 2211) have taxis seating up seven people. Bus: Airport Bus (tel: 800 772 5299 toll free; website: www.airportbus.com) serves the area. In addition to this, Orange County Transportation Authority (tel: 714 636 7433) runs bus no.76 from Huntington Beach and Newport Beach via Talbert Avenue/MacArthur Boulevard and bus no.212 from Irvine to San Juan Capistrano via the 405-Freeway. Numerous shuttle companies also operate from the airport. Shuttle buses leave from the lower level of the ground transportation centre and take passengers to their destination.

Facilities:
Money and communications: ATMs can be found in the baggage reclaim area on the lower level. Eating and drinking: There are two fast food outlets, as well as numerous restaurants and outlets selling croissants, sweets and cookies. Shopping: Gift shops and newsagents are located around the terminal.

Business:
There is no conference centre at the airport; however conference and business facilities are available at nearby hotels, including the Best Western Orange County Airport North Hotel (tel: 714 432 8888) and the Newport Beach Marriott Suites (tel: 949 854 4500). In the airport itself, the United Airlines Red Carpet Club (tel: 949 252 5736) and the American Airlines Admirals Club (tel: 949 852 5470) are membership only VIP lounges, which offer conference facilities. These are located on the mezzanine level next to gates 7 and 8.

There are no hotels at the airport. However, the Hilton Irvine Hotel (tel: 949 833 9999) is situated within walking distance and the Irvine Marriott Hotel (tel: 949 553 0100) is located 1.6km (1 mile) from the airport.
